BMM ensures transfer of knowledge via collaborative projects between industry and academia, as well as through publication (journals and web) of research results, attendance at and sponsorship of conferences and seminars, and more.

The program facilitates knowledge transfer via an exchange program of researchers between the R&D laboratories of industrial participants and academic R&D departments, usually those of participating universities and research institutes.
